June 2009 MAJOR FIRMS SIGN UP FOR IMAGINEERING AT COUNTRY FESTIVAL

Some of the region’s highest profile organisations have already signed up to participate in the Imagineering Fair, which returns to the Country Festival at Stoneleigh Park Warwickshire at August Bank Holiday weekend, and to celebrate Imagineering’s 10th Anniversary.

Supported by Advantage West Midlands and organised by the education charity the Imagineering Foundation, the Imagineering Fair will be packed with free and fascinating fun hands-on activities for youngsters of all ages and abilities. Laid on by an impressive list of organisations that includes Jaguar Land Rover, National Grid, AeroEngine Controls (formerly Goodrich), Severn Trent, Delcam, Learning Grid, Balfour Beatty as well as the Army and Royal Air Force, the action takes place under cover and outside.

Other attractions include the LandRover Experience; a demonstration track with Formula Student Racing Cars and also the stunning Bloodhound SSC, the vehicle set to break the World Land Speed Record.

There is something for every taste from racing cars, rockets and robots to IT, bridge-building and mechanical challenges to energy and the environment.  Youngsters can learn about the sophisticated technology that affects our everyday lives but is rarely seen by most of us.

Bob Shanks, Chairman of the Imagineering Foundation, said: “ Returning to this venue, thanks to support from Advantage West Midlands and the Country Festival organisers, has meant we are able to celebrate our 10th Anniversary in style and once more provide a wide range of exciting new activities and challenges.

There will not be a dull moment and no chance for
visitors to get bored!”
